Editorial Review for Fire Island Lighthouse – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
The white and black tower rises above the dunes and offers scenic views of the island, bay and the Atlantic. The climb to the top of the lighthouse involves climbing exposed stairs through narrow passageways. For those who wish to spend the day, the beach in front of the lighthouse is a popular spot--showers, restrooms and concessions are located at the state park.
